McDonald's on the Postal Square started to work. It has been a popular rest placefor Kiev residents and tourists. Exterior design of the restaurantwas made by group of Kievarchitects. They managed to embody the concept of a modern restaurant, and at the same time, repeat the silhouette of the old buildings on the Postal Square. One of the main features of this restaurant is standing seam roofing made of titanium zinc. It fits perfectly into the architectural style of the Podol and the Postal Square and alsokeep a modern style building. Why has titaniumzinc been selected? It is durable material and combined with a standing seam roof technology will allow to operate roof for decades without repair and painting.
The roof was made according to the classic German technology using double standing seam lock. All connectionson the parapets andabutments were madeusing seam without using overlaps and perforate fixing. All fasteners are hidden in the standing seam locks. Gutter system is hidden, mounted on a strong steel brackets. The facades are coveredby standing seam panels. We applied facades mounting technology which has been successfully used by us on the other similar objects, like a mall "Bielany" in Wroclaw.
